A custom crafted T'shu P'u board game played in China and based on cross-shaped race games originated in India.
This race game set features a cross-shaped board crafted from dark wood with red and gold details, two rectangular dice with gold Chinese numerals and dark wood pieces decorated with intricately carved motifs of dragons in red, white and green.
The set includes a booklet with rules of the game.
T'shu P'u is believed to have been introduced to China from India during the Wei Dynasty (220–265 AD) becoming very popular from 479 to 1,000 AD. Based on the cross-shaped path games from India, Pachisi and Chaupur, the game can be played by two or four players divided into two teams.
The aim of the game is to get your pieces from the starting position and around the board to the central square. The pieces are moved according to the throw of a four-sided die.
An exhilarating game that will delight any game enthusiast, children and adults alike.
